Intending to achieve a 50% share in the global EV market by 2030, the BMW i4, together with the BMW iX, is the latest step from the Munich-based car marque in the world of electric cars. The i4 will go on sale in the UK this November and will be available in Sport and M Sport trims. BMW says that the i4 is making its market debut about three months earlier than what was first planned.
The i4 is based on a modified version of the CLAR platform, which underpins the BMW 3 and 4 Series, and can accommodate battery packs of up to 80 kWh. In June, BMWBlog attended the world premiere of the i4, and follows is their first look at the electric car.
