Ford Mustang Mach-E GT likely already in production; deliveries could begin in September

Ford Mustang Mach-E GT deliveries in the U.S. will begin on time or perhaps sooner than the announced date of fall 2021. Ford has been sending out build dates to customers who have ordered the Mach-E GT in the country, as per a forum post on MachEClub.com, and the estimated delivery dates are interesting.

Forum member, HarrySii posted a message saying that the delivery ETA given to him is between August 30 and September 5. If this is true, then deliveries could start in September itself. Another forum member, CJP, shared that his GT reservation number from November 2019 was converted to an order in April 2021 with a build week of July 12, 2021. He expects his Mach-E GT to arrive by early September.

Mach-E’s production center is the converted Cuautitlan Izcalli plant (Mexico) that manufactured Fiestas from 2010 to 2019. Because the production of ICE cars is so much different compared to BEVs, Ford took approximately a year to modify the plant and implement new technologies. The plant also became the first production facility to implement an artificial vision system.

Exterior

Ford offers the Mustang Mach-E GT in standard trim and a Performance Edition, with the latter packing extra oomph over the standard car. The GT variant sports a Carbonized Gray grille with an illuminated pony badge, red brake calipers, and GT series badging in both the trims.
